THE QUEEN

Queen Victoria visited Lake Maggiore, in the
Spring of 1879, arriving with her private train
and welcomed by a cheering crowd.
She stayed at Villa Humphrey, now known as Villa
Branca, and despite many rainy days, she visited
everything possible, finding Lake Maggiore
“unforgettable”. The dependance of Villa
Humphrey, Castello di Ripa, is now home of one
of the two founders of Acqua di Stresa.
For a scent dedicate to a queen, can’t be used but
the queen of flowers: Rose, whose wood and
petals mingle with refined flowery and musky
notes.
