The shop belonged to an old perfumer, Hassan, who had been guarding the secret of a unique fragrance for generations: NICCHIA.

NICCHIA was not just any perfume. Its composition, a symphony of aldehydes, elemi, cipriol, incense, benzoin and musk, was as mysterious as it was fascinating. The story of NICCHIA began many centuries earlier when Hassan's grandfather, a famous court alchemist, decided to create an essence that could tell the story of the city he loved: Istanbul. A city that welcomed the voices of East and West, where ancient traditions mingled with innovation. So he combined the spicy energy of aldehydes with the balsamic freshness of elemi, the earthy woodiness of cipriol and the smoky depth of frankincense. But the final touch came from benzoin, which evoked the sacredness of ancient temples with its gentle resinous breath, and musk, which enveloped everything in a sensual and discreet softness.

Every note of NICCHIA had a deep meaning, a connection to Istanbul's thousand-year history. Aldehydes, bright and shimmering, symbolized the dawn that turned the city golden; Elemi, with its scent of fresh resin, evoked the vitality of bustling markets and shops. Cypriol, darker and more mysterious, told of the past, the wood of imperial palaces and hidden gardens. Incense carried the essence of mosques and sacred rites, while benzoin told of the secret stories whispered within the city walls.
