MELAO

MELAO tells the sweet and profound soul of Colombia’s tropical lands,
where the sun warms the sugarcane plantations and the air is filled with the scent of coffee, cocoa, and flowers. Inspired by the country’s southwest region, between the mountains and plains of Valle del Cauca, MELAO evokes the trapiches—small artisanal mills where, for centuries, the juice of sugarcane has been hand-extracted and slowly cooked until it becomes a dense, dark syrup known as melao. This fragrance is an homage to life on the fincas, the rural farms where every day begins with a tinto, the typical Colombian black coffee, and the air fills with familiar, intense aromas.

MELAO is a tribute to the fincas cafeteras, to the calm of misty mornings, the steam rising from kitchen pots, and the hands dusted with raw sugar. A fragrance that preserves the taste of what remains: memory, labor, and the sweetness of a life lived in contact with the earth itself.
