Sir Winston Churchill honey-mooned on Lake
Maggiore, in 1908, and stayed in Baveno, at Hotel
Lido Palace, facing Castello di Ripa, where Acqua
di Stresa was conceived and whose garden was
inspiration for the concept of the brand. He felt in
love with the place, and stayed, in the same hotel,
many times more. The scent dedicated to him
reminds of his colonial youth experiences, in
Cuba, India and Sudan, and smells like spices and
woods of these countries.
